چکیده

Background: Laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy (LOC) is one of the most often performed and simplest gynaecological procedures. The aim this study was to evaluate change in reserve, volume Doppler velocimetry after LOC, between endometrioma patients other benign cysts.
Methods: Eighty participants were enrolled prospective cohort research. Aged 18-40 years suffering from unilateral cysts. Patients classified into two equal groups: group I: (endometriotic cyst), II: (non-endometriotic cyst) each subdivided 2 subgroups. Group subgroup A: stripping B: cauterization. dermoid cysts simple serous cyst.
Results: AMH (antimullerian hormone) post operation 3 months significantly higher than cauterization months, AFC (unilateral antral follicle counts) reduction lower non-endometrioma. before operation, cyst subgroups non- group. group.
Conclusions: post-operatively. non-endometrioma but no significant difference noted operation.

Does laparoscopic excision of endometriotic ovarian cysts significantly affect ovarian reserve? Insights from IVF cycles.

BACKGROUND Residual ovarian function after laparoscopic excision of endometriotic ovarian cysts is a major and still unsolved topic. Ultrasonographic evaluation of ovarian response to ovulation stimulation represents a simple yet poorly employed tool to assess residual ovarian function after surgery. METHODS Data from patients referred for IVF or ICSI between January 2001 and December 2002 we...

Endometriotic ovarian cysts negatively affect the rate of spontaneous ovulation.

BACKGROUND A growing body of evidence suggests that ovarian reserve is damaged after excision of ovarian endometriomas. However, it may not be excluded that gonadal damage is at least partly caused by the very presence of an endometrioma per se, thus preceding surgery. To clarify this aspect, we set up a prospective study in women with monolateral endometriomas in order to assess the rate of ov...

An Update on Ovarian Aging and Ovarian Reserve Tests

Ovaries are the female organs that age more quickly than other tissues such as the uterus, the pituitary gland or pancreas. Different from males, an interesting question is why and how the females lose fertility so rapidly. During the aging process, both the number and quality of the oocytes in the ovaries decrease and reach to a point beyond that no more viable offspring may be produced and th...

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to assess the prevalence of abnormal CT findings in patients with surgically proven ruptured endometriotic cysts, as compared with those abnormal CT findings of ruptured ovarian functional cysts. MATERIALS AND METHODS This study included 13 retrospectively identified patients with surgically confirmed ruptured ovarian endometriotic cysts and who had also...
